Sarah + Travis | 3.19.22
Sarah and Travis tied the knot at The Wildflower Event Center in the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge area. It was a dark and moody day which perfectly fit their wedding style. They had such a unique wedding style for a spring wedding and it came together perfectly.
They had a small wedding ceremony in a private location and then gathered with their friends and family for their intimate reception in our Wildflower Lounge lower level floor. The Wildflower Lounge has bright white walls, soft grey wood floors, and natural wood beams that accent the ceiling. The interior complemented their dark and moody wedding style as it really made the color pop.

Dark and Moody Wedding Reception Table Decor
With the help of Crystal at Custom Love Events, Sarah and Travis were able to plan the most romantic and moody wedding reception table decor. Each table was decorated down the middle with bud vases varying in height, tall ivory LED taper candles, and short ivory LED votive candles. The flower buds in each bud vase were shades of magenta pink and wine red and paired with greenery and eucalyptus. The table decor also included a wooden dinner plate, a wooden dessert plate, silver flatware, and beautiful vintage water goblets. With the bright white interior of the Wildflower Lounge, the black linens really made the table decor pop and give more of the dark and moody vibe. The venue perfectly suited their wedding style.
Wedding Reception Details
While wedding planning, it is a common misconception that your guests will not remember the little details and not to worry about them. However, the little details can go a long way. Sarah and Travis understood the importance of the little reception details and made a seating chart. They even went as far as to pick the exact seat for each one of their guests and gave them little name plates.
Not only does a seating chart help your guests find their seats faster, but it also solidifies that your guests can sit with their friends and family and not have to worry about finding a table that will fit all of them together. Seating charts also add to the reception decor because they can be done in so many unique ways. The table numbers and nameplates are also great ways to be creative and add to the table decor.

Wedding Attire Details
Sarah and Travis looked absolutely stunning as they definitely fit the part in their dark and moody spring wedding in the Smoky Mountains. Sarah was wearing a ballgown-style dress with a tulle skirt and long train. The dress had a sweetheart neckline and sheer tulle lace covering up to her neck and beautifully down her arms as sleeves. The bodice was simply detailed with vine line lace at the top water falling down the tulle skirt. She styled it with a simple long sheer tulle veil.
Travis wore a dark navy blue suit with a white undershirt, beige tie, and brown leather shoes. The dark suit combined with the beige tie and brown shoes perfectly complimented her dark floral bouquet. The couple’s bride and groom photos were taken in a corner of the Wildflower Event Center and provided a sleek neutral backdrop with the best natural light while missing the drizzly rain.

Dark and Moody Wedding Photos in Indoor/Outdoor Wedding Venue
Weather can be so unpredictable, especially here in the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge area. The Wildflower Event Center was thankfully able to provide Sarah and Travis with a warm and dry reception as well as amazing photo opportunities. The interior of the Wildflower Event Center is bright white and has natural wood accents so the colors can complement any wedding style. It also has an abundance of natural light from the large windows, including an entire wall of large cathedral windows on the top floor of the venue. Even if the weather is not the best, any couple can get those perfect wedding photos. Thankfully the weather was able to clear up for a bit so Sarah and Travis were able to take photos around the venue and in the Smoky Mountain Field. The weather may have not been ideal, however, it did not stop these two from looking their best and having an amazing wedding day.
